The Best Morning Routine For Entrepreneurs

Most people will recommend that cold showers and yoga are the keys to a successful life as an entrepreneur.

While there is a place for these activities, they’re sort of gimmicky and not going to really move the needle in your life.

We’ll show you a few things that you probably won’t see on a lot of other posts.

The best morning routine needs to be injected with motivation.

Without motivation – you’ve got nothing as an entrepreneur.

If you’ve got a cell phone, then we’ve got something for you.

The Night Before

Most people like to have an alarm to wake up in the morning.

We’d like to take this idea and expand on it.

You should actually have an alarm, to go to bed.

This should be no later than 9 PM, so go ahead and grab your iPhone and select a daily alarm – at 9 PM.

Your morning actually starts the night before.

Make sure that you’re not having any caffeine after 5 PM the day before.

Something that we’ve also found that’s super helpful as a supplement is taking a Melatonin. Melatonin is completely safe to consume and will just help you fall asleep. It’s naturally produced by your body when the lights turn off, so you’re just fast tracking this process. I personally like to take a 5mg Melatonin capsule from Trader Joes.

The Morning

By far the most important thing to do when you wake up is to get out of bed.

This might sound like a crazy idea, but not many people do it.

People like to either hit the snooze button a bunch of times or they like to scroll on their phone for an hour. This is the best way to kill your day, drain your dopamine and make sure that you have a slow start to your day.

The first thing you should really do is wake up, get dressed, bathroom time, etc. – and then go outside.

This is important due to your circadian rhythm. When the sunlight hits your face and your skin, you naturally start to wake up.

The worst thing you can do is just grab your cellphone and head back into the house.

You need to get that early morning sunlight, it’s biologically programmed into us for a reason.

Once outside, have an amazing breakfast – you earned it!

This will set the tone for the rest of your day.

The Day

This is going to vary vastly between a lot of people.

If you have a 9-5 job, even if you work remotely, most people don’t have complete control of their days.

But if you are an entrepreneur and you own your schedule, then we’d recommend a combination of the following:

  • 15 Minute Yoga or Stretching Session
  • 30 Minute Workout, in the house is fine

At this point, we’d recommend that you start journaling. If this is something that you can do every single day, then you’re going to develop of habit of success that 95% of people aren’t able to maintain.
